Valencia's David Villa

Getafe v Zaragoza (Sat, 17:00)

HT/FT W/W: Getafe come into this match in good form. They are undefeated in six home matches with four victories and three W/Ws and they have also won four of their last six games hosting bottom-six opposition (three W/Ws). Zaragoza have gained four points from their last two away days, although both games were against fellow bottom-six clubs. Prior to them, the La Liga new-boys had been beaten in eight of 10 winless away fixtures with eight half-time losses.

Tenerife v Real Madrid (Sat, 19:00)

HT outcome: Promoted Tenerife have trailed at half-time in just three of their 12 home matches this term. Despite having won 57% (17/30) of their away fixtures since the start of last season, Real Madrid have been in-front at half-time in only a third of the games. Similarly, they have led at the break in just four of their last 17 matches at bottom-six opposition.

Barcelona v Malaga (Sat, 21:00)

Highest scoring half: Barcelona have seen more goals before the break than after it in six of their 11 home matches this season and the same has been true in 40% (8/20) of their games hosting middle-third sides since 2007/08. Similarly, the first half has been the highest scoring half in four of Malaga’s last seven trips to top-six teams.

Sevilla v Ath Bilbao (Sun, 18:00)

Asian handicap, Home -1: Sevilla have recorded W/Ws in all of their last three home matches and they have also been successful in eight of their last 10 games hosting top-half non-Big Two sides with five W/Ws and four victories by two clear goals. The hosts have defeated the -1.5 goal handicap in three of their last five home matches when they have been on similar current five-game home form (nine points). Bilbao have gained just one point from their last five on the road and they have been beaten by two or more goals in eight of their last 10 trips to top-six sides.

Atletico Madrid v Valencia (Sun, 20:00)

+3.0 goals: 22 of Atletico Madrid’s last 30 (73%) home matches have seen at least three goals whilst 14 (47%) have featured four or more. Likewise, two-thirds (10/15) of their games hosting top-six sides since 2007/08 have contained more than a brace of scores (six +3.5 goals). 16 of Valencia’s last 27 away matches have settled the +2.5 goals market as have seven of their last 11 trips to bottom-half sides.
