Match outcome: Olympiakos won all three of their home Group Stage matches and they are now unbeaten in eight at home in the Champions League. Furthermore, they have won eight of their last 12 games hosting sides with a Bettorlogic rank of 6-15.  Although Bordeaux topped Group A, this is their first-ever match in the knockout phase of the Champions League. Match outcome: There isn’t a great deal to go on in this match as neither side has much knockout stage experience in the Champions League. CSKA Moscow have lost half of their home matches since 2004/05 and six of their 12 such games have seen no more than a single score. Moreover, Russian teams have been beaten in four of their seven games hosting Spanish sides this century (four -1.5 goals). Sevilla have won four of their seven away fixtures in this competition and Spanish teams ranked 11+ have lost only three of eight knockout matches on the road since 2005/06.

It should be noted, however, that their two games hosting English opposition in this sample were last season’s scoreless draw with Man Utd and their 1-0 loss to Liverpool in 2006/07. Chelsea, meanwhile, have endured defeat in only two of their 15 away fixtures since 2007/08 with 10 half-time draws and six -1.5 goals games.
