Barcelona v Racing (Sat, 19:00)

-2.5 goals: Xavi was added to Barcelona’s seemingly endless injury list this week. The hosts suffered their first defeat of the campaign last time out; a 2-1 loss at Atletico. Additionally, four of their last six games hosting bottom-half sides have seen no more than a brace of scores. 63% (19/30) of Racing’s away fixtures since the start of last season have contained fewer than three goals as have all of their last four trips to either of the Big Two.

Mallorca v Sevilla (Sat, 21:00)

Match outcome: Mallorca have won all of their 10 home fixtures this season, conceding just three goals in the process. They have also been successful in four of their last six home games against top-six opposition. Sevilla have been beaten in all of their last three away fixtures, including a 2-1 defeat at Real Zaragoza, and they have also lost four of their last six trips to top-six sides.

Almeria v Atletico Madrid (Sun, 18:00)

-2.5 goals: 12 of Almeria’s 20 home matches against middle-third teams since the start of 2007/08 have settled the -2.5 goals market as have 57% (17/30) of Atletico Madrid’s away fixtures since 2008/09. Similarly, 62% (18/29) of their games at bottom-half sides have featured no more than a brace of scores over the past three campaigns.

Real Madrid v Villarreal (Sun, 20:00)

HT/FT: Real Madrid have won all of their 11 home fixtures this term and nine have come courtesy of the W/W double result. Over a longer period, they have won 82% (18/22) of their games hosting middle-third opposition. Villarreal have suffered defeat in seven of their last nine on the road and they have trailed at half-time in four of their last six trips to either of the Big Two.

Valencia v Getafe (Mon, 20:00)

+3.0 goals: 69% (20/29) of Valencia’s home matches since the start of last season have seen at least three scores whilst 16 have had four or more.
