After their seven-goal thriller at the San Siro, Spurs welcome Inter Milan to White Hart Lane while Benfica host Lyon in Group B.

Group A: Spurs (Bettorlogic rank 20) v Inter Milan (4) (Tues, 19:45)

Spurs’ maiden Champions League campaign has been full of excitement thus far. They have picked up four points from their three games and all of the matches have seen at least four goals. Inter Milan’s record in this competition is nowhere near as impressive on the road as it is at home, but they have still been beaten in just 5/16 group fixtures since 2005/06. Five of their last six such matches have seen both teams score while four have featured at least three goals. This is the first game in which an English side has hosted an Italian side and been the lower-ranked team since Chelsea faced Lazio in 2003/04.

Recommendation: +2.5 goals 1.91, Stan James

Group A: Werder Bremen (18) v Twente (45) (Tues, 19:45)

Werder Bremen have won just one of their nine Champions League matches since 2008/09, but they have shared the points on six occasions and they have also been tied at the break six times. They do, however, have a better record when they are the favoured side. The hosts have won 4/7 home group stage matches against lower-ranked opposition since 2004/05 and three of the games have been goalless at the interval. First-time entrants Twente remain winless in Group A, but they have scored in all three matches so far. The Dutch champions have drawn the first half of all three fixtures. German sides have won 5/7 unbeaten home matches against Dutch opposition in this competition with four W/W doubles and four victories by two clear goals.

Recommendation: No bet

Group B: Hapoel Tel-Aviv (168) v Schalke 04 (42) (Tues, 19:45)

Hapoel Tel-Aviv are yet to gain their first ever point in the Champions League. The hosts have been beaten by exactly two goals in all of their three games and they have also trailed at the break in each match. Schalke have won only 1/7 away group stage matches since 2005/06, but they haven’t faced a team ranked outside the top-100 in that sample. Generally, teams ranked 101+ have won 10/22 home matches against teams with a Bettorlogic rank of 26-55 while both teams have scored in 12 of the fixtures.

Recommendation: No bet

Group B: Benfica (28) v Lyon (9) (Tues, 19:45)

Benfica must get something out of this game if they are to put pressure on Schalke for the second qualifying spot. Unfortunately they face a Lyon side who have won all of their three group games for the concession of just a single goal. Benfica’s home record in this competition is pretty impressive; they have won 6/10 group games since 2005/06 with four W/Ws but they have gained full-points from just 2/6 when they have conceded. Lyon’s group stage record is formidable both home and away. Since 2005/06, the visitors have won 11/16 home group games and 11/15 away group games. Moreover, they have won 6/7 games against teams ranked 21-41 with four W/W doubles. Teams that have won their first three group matches have won 15/21 games when their next fixture has been on the road.

Recommendation: Lyon Win DNB 2.55, Unibet
